Using the historic photographic wet plate collodion process I engrave the light into pure silver, just like the ancestors of the 19th century did.
Although I am photographing the outside – in reality you are witnessing the inside. The deceleration of this fascinating analogue process makes any masquerade of the subject disappear. All perfect through imperfection.
In my handcrafted images, I feel the energy and the soul of the subject in all its dimensions.
Although the images are made in present time, it feels as if they transcend reality and therefore become timeless and universal.
